ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE MATTERS.

Heartland STEM is a non-profit run by the Cobalt Colts a First Tech Challenge robotics team from Overland Park, KS. When we’re not building robots, we are focused on providing STEM opportunities to others in our community.
OUR SUCCESS

During the summer of 2018, we convinced the Blue Valley school system to budget 100,000 dollars annually for school robotics teams. We helped a teacher at Blue Valley Southwest create a robotics curriculum, and as of 2019, we are mentoring 3 new teams. After that, we wanted to grow STEM opportunities beyond our district by helping to start robotics teams and clubs across Kansas. So we partnered with UnitedHealthcare to start Heartland STEM, a 501c3 organization.
